Could you please introduce yourself ? My name is Caren Jepkemei and I was born and raised in Kenya.When and how did you start your modeling career ? I was scouted in 2019 April in Nairobi and travelled to Paris for fashion week in September 2019 and the rest has been history!What’s your favorite part about modeling today ? Meeting new people everyday and developing a good relationship with everyone working in the industryWhere do you currently live and where do you work most often? I currently live in London and work most often in Paris.How did you manage to keep your confidence and even your face so serene and calm on the runway? I make sure to stay focused on the camera and my walkDo you have a technique to feel comfortable in front of the camera? Or a “feel-good though” just before entering the catwalk? I meditate for a few moments to ground myself and claim all the positive energy around me to guide me not only throughout my day but especially for runway.What’s your favourite occupation when you are in backstage, waiting for a show to begin ?Taking time to do skincare and catching up with my girls backstage!According to you, what is the perfect backstage catering? The perfect backstage catering is fresh and flavourful food that gives me enough energy without being too heavy!By the way, what is your best memory of this fashion week so far? Or a fun fact you’ll never forget? So far this season, going to New York for the first time for Fashion Week. Who do you look to for career inspiration? The black supermodels of the past such as Grace Jones and Alek Awek who are so inspirational to other black models today!Any miracle products to soothe the skin after a whole day of fashion shows? Fenty beauty skin care products are a must, they are so refreshing and rejuvenating for the skin!Your favorite place in Paris ?
